Bancroft Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (“Bancroft PTO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a nonprofit parent-teacher organization supporting the students, families, teachers, and staff of Bancroft Elementary School in Andover, Massachusetts.

We respect the privacy of our school community and are committed to using personal information responsibly.

Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

Bancroft PTO may collect information voluntarily provided by parents, guardians, staff members, volunteers, donors, and other members of our community. This may include:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Mailing address
  • Telephone or mobile phone number
  • Student name, grade, and classroom, when relevant to PTO activities
  • Volunteer information
  • Donation, registration, or event-related information
  • Communications or inquiries submitted to the PTO

We collect only information reasonably necessary to operate PTO programs, activities, communications, fundraising, volunteer opportunities, and events.

How We Use Information

Information provided to Bancroft PTO may be used to:

  • Communicate information about PTO programs, events, meetings, fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities;
  • Administer PTO programs, registrations, donations, and events;
  • Coordinate volunteers;
  • Respond to questions or requests;
  • Send email or text message communications to individuals who have elected to receive them;
  • Maintain records reasonably necessary for the operation of the organization; and
  • Comply with applicable legal, financial, or regulatory requirements.

Sharing of Information

Bancroft PTO does not sell personal information.

We may use service providers as reasonably necessary to operate PTO services, such as website hosting, email and text messaging platforms, payment processors, registration services, or other technology providers. Information is provided to such services only as reasonably necessary to perform services on behalf of Bancroft PTO.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won’t be shared with any third parties.

Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Text Messaging

Individuals may voluntarily provide a mobile telephone number and consent to receive text messages from Bancroft PTO. Text messages may include information regarding school community events, PTO programs, reminders, volunteer opportunities, fundraising activities, schedule changes, deadlines, or other PTO-related information.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive text messages is voluntary and is not a condition of making a donation, participating in a PTO program, or receiving other PTO services.

Recipients may opt out at any time by replying STOP to a Bancroft PTO text message. For assistance, reply HELP or contact Bancroft PTO through our website.

Data Security

Bancroft PTO takes reasonable measures to protect personal information under our control. However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children’s Privacy

Bancroft PTO’s communications and online services are intended primarily for parents, guardians, staff, volunteers, and other adults in the school community. We do not knowingly use our website or text messaging program to solicit personal information directly from children under 13 without appropriate parental or guardian involvement.

SMS Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms & Conditions apply to text messages sent by Bancroft Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (“Bancroft PTO”).

Program Description

Bancroft PTO may send text messages to parents, guardians, staff members, volunteers, and other members of the Bancroft Elementary School community who have voluntarily opted in to receive SMS communications.

Messages may include PTO announcements, event information, reminders, volunteer opportunities, fundraising information, deadlines, schedule updates, and other information related to Bancroft PTO programs and activities.

Consent

By voluntarily providing your mobile phone number and opting in to Bancroft PTO text messaging, you agree to receive text messages from Bancroft PTO at the number provided, which may be sent using an automated messaging system.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of making a donation, participating in an event, or receiving PTO services.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on PTO activities and events. Some periods of the school year may result in more frequent communications than others.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s standard messaging and data rates are your responsibility.

Opting Out

You may cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from Bancroft PTO.

After opting out, you may receive a confirmation message indicating that you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive messages through that SMS program unless you subsequently opt in again.
