We are excited for the 4th annual Bancroft play! This year we will be performing Disney’s Frozen Jr. Here are the details:

  • The play will be open to students in grades 3-5 at Bancroft and rehearsals will take place before school at Bancroft on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 7:20-8:45am starting on 2/2.
  • Final shows include an in-school performance on 4/15 and evening performances on 4/15 and 4/16.
  • Signups open on 12/16 at 6pm. If the registration is full, you can still sign up, but you will be added to a waitlist; we will do our best to add them if possible.
  • The play will be directed by Bancroft teachers Shelley Thorner and Allison O’Brien, and choreographed by Sanborn teacher Danielle Hart.
  • Auditions will take place on 1/12 and 1/14 from 7:20-8:45am. Each student will sign up for one day to audition. Details and materials will be sent out prior to auditions. Students who do not want a speaking role will not need to audition and there will be a place to indicate this on the audition signup (to be distributed later). Third graders do not need to audition, they are automatically part of the ensemble.
  • Sanborn Elementary is also doing Frozen Jr with a show date of 1/29.  We will be collaborating with their production to help create and share sets, costumes and other resources to help minimize costs for both schools.  Bancroft parents who sign up to volunteer for some of these areas may be asked to begin helping in December, but will have less to do in March!

There is a $220 fee per student to participate in the production which we will collect after signup.  This includes the cast t-shirt, we’ll collect sizes at a later date.  If you are a family in need of financial assistance, please signup when it opens, and reach out to Bobcat to Bobcat (Nancy Modlish or Anna Ryan) for more information.  The PTO provides scholarships and/or transportation to any family in need of assistance.

*** Signups open on 12/16 at 6pm and they fill up quickly, so be sure to save the date and click here to save the link! ***
