Bancroft is excited to bring back Children’s Stage Adventure’s (CSA) and the play “The Princess and The Pea” during the week of October 23rd. The most exciting part is the stars of the play will be the students of Bancroft!
Who: All students grades 3-5 can participate – there will be approximately 50 roles to audition for. Additionally there will also be opportunities to be part of the chorus or be part of a small stage crew!
When: The Auditions will be Monday October 23rd and rehearsals will be all week ending with 2 performances on Friday October 27th! (One during school for students and one for parents after school)
Details: Since the play is being done in such a short time-frame, all students need to have a clear schedule for the week to commit and participate in the rehearsals which will be scheduled after school for approximately 4 hours. Not all roles will need to be there the entire time, a more detailed rehearsal schedule will be given after auditions.
Costs: There will be a participation cost of $60 per child.
We are looking for two host families to provide housing for our two actor/educators. Each host family would only need to provide a bedroom and access to kitchen facilities. The actors will purchase their own food. Please considering volunteering for this exciting opportunity! The play will be run by a team of Actors/Educators from a company that has been putting on residency plays for over 18 years and with all of their teams of actors, do approximately 80 every school year!
