ACE partners with the Andover Public Schools (APS)  to support innovative system-wide initiatives that inspire our students to succeed in facing today's global challenges.

    ACE was organized in 2005 by a small group of interested citizens who saw the need for additional funds to help our schools.

    ACE has funded the first two years of salary for the Grant Coordinator, Lisa Glickstein. Lisa works for the Superintendent of Schools and has been successful in bringing to Andover federal and state grants that support the teaching of American History, the phys. ed. curriculum, training for our school nurses, technology, and world languages. ACE is pleased to have provided the opportunity for our schools to see the benefits of this position. Andover can be successful when writing grants by partnering with other school districts.... so we all benefit.

   

    ACE 's fundraising efforts in the community have supported the following projects: EiE (Engineering is Elementary)- an addition to the elementary school science curriculum; the Doherty Middle School Engineering Lab; middle school physics lab equipment; Expeditionary Learning at Wood Hill; and the new Foreign Language Lab at the High School this Spring! ACE works closely with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent to identify the system-wide initiatives for our support. ACE has given $285,000. to APS since 2006.

 

    ACE is grateful to all our donors-- parents of our students as well as many community people-- and we are pleased to partner with other town organizations such as PTOs, PACs and Andona.
